TERMS OF SERVICE

The agreement between Red Stag Handyman and the homeowner or property manager booking a service visit. Effective May 7, 2026.

ESTIMATES & QUOTES

All Red Stag Handyman estimates are flat-rate and provided in writing (text, email, or printed work order) before any work begins. Estimates are valid for 30 days from issuance. The estimate price is the price you pay; we do not bill above the quoted amount unless you authorize additional scope in writing first.

SCHEDULING & ARRIVAL

Service visits are scheduled in 2-hour arrival windows. We text when the technician is en route and provide a real-time ETA. Same-day service is available across most of our 29-city LA County coverage area when you call before noon. Standard scheduling is next-day or two-day for non-urgent work; emergency service runs 24/7 with a one-hour response window.

PAYMENT

Payment is due on completion of the visit. Red Stag accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, ACH, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and check. Property management companies and commercial accounts are billed on net-30 terms after the first project, subject to a credit application. Any disputed charges must be raised within 14 days of the invoice date.

WARRANTY & GUARANTEE

All Red Stag Handyman labor is warrantied for one year from the date of service. If the work fails within one year due to workmanship — not customer abuse, normal wear, or independent third-party damage — we return at no charge to remedy the issue. Material warranties pass through from the manufacturer (typical light fixtures: 1–2 years; smart locks: 2–3 years; caulk and sealants: 5–12 years per product). Our written guarantee at the end of every visit: if the work isn't right when we walk it with you, we fix it before we leave; if it's wrong after we've left, we come back; if it can't be made right, we refund.

CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

You may reschedule or cancel a booked service visit up to 24 hours before the scheduled arrival window with no fee. Cancels made within 24 hours of the arrival window are subject to a $75 trip charge. Same-day cancels after the technician has been dispatched are subject to a $150 trip charge. We waive these charges for genuine emergencies, illness, or bereavement on a good-faith basis.

SCOPE & LICENSING LIMITS

Red Stag Handyman holds CSLB license #964664 and is authorized to perform handyman work in California. We do not perform: new electrical wiring or new circuits, permitted plumbing reroutes or gas line work, structural framing, HVAC system installs, foundation work, or roofing. If your job requires specialty licensing beyond handyman scope, we will tell you on the diagnosis visit and refer you to an appropriate specialty trade.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Red Stag Handyman carries $2M general liability and full workers' compensation insurance. Our liability for any claim arising from a service visit is limited to the cost of the work performed, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct, where statutory limits apply. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions in the home (e.g., mold inside walls that was present before our visit), normal wear-and-tear failure of materials, or damage from independent contractors working in parallel.

GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by California law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved between the parties will be resolved by binding arbitration in Los Angeles County before a single arbitrator under JAMS Streamlined Arbitration Rules. Either party may seek injunctive relief in California state court for urgent matters.
